19192 Financial Services (Accounting) Certificate IV

*Note: This is a traineeship course
This qualification is designed to reflect the role of employees who perform duties such as:

  • completing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other office taxes
  • operational reporting
  • producing of basic management reports
  • producing basic job costing reports
  • preparing budgets
  • supervising the operation of computer based systems
  • classifying, recording and reporting of accounting information
  • maintaining inventory records
  • managing a small office
  • making decisions in a legal context

17939 Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill Set

This Skill Set is designed for an enterprise trainer and assessor working in an enterprise Registered Training Organisation or in an enterprise that works together with a Registered Training Organisation in an auspicing arrangement. These people deliver and assess nationally endorsed units or qualifications.

17862 Customer Contact Certificate III

*Note: This is a traineeship course
This qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to perform the role of a skilled operator and to apply a broad range of competencies in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. Operators may provide technical advice and support to a team.
Possible job roles relevant to this qualification may include:

  • Call/Contact Centre Agent
  • Customer Service Representative
  • Senior Customer Service Representative
  • Telesales Representative.

The context for this qualification varies and this must guide the selection of elective units. An example of appropriate elective units for a particular outcome at this level follows.
Customer Service Representative
Core units plus:

  • sales electives for inbound and outbound sales based roles
  • senior customer service representative (CSR) electives for experienced agents/CSRs
  • industry specific electives for market research, telecommunications and/or credit agency CSRs.

17824 Small Business Management Certificate IV

This course will equip you with well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of small business contexts to effectively manage a small business.
You will develop knowledge and skills to work as a Small Busines Manager related to:

17822 Frontline Management Certificate IV

*Note: Delivered flexibly on the job or eight one-day workshops over 12 months or through traineeship. You can also attain this qualification through 100% Recognition of Prior Learning or Experience.
This course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to work as a team leader, or in a supervisory, front line management position. Learners may have existing qualifications or technical skills in other areas, yet may require skills or recognition in supervisory functions. Typically, these people themselves report to a manager. Learners will develop skills to provide leadership and guidance to other workers and to take responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes.

17487 Retail Management Diploma

The Diploma of Retail Management is for people who hold or wish to hold higher management positions. It applies to those who are providing support to senior management in a larger retail or wholesale outlet or being responsible for the management of a retail store or wholesale outlet.
You will complete core units in managing operations to budget and setting strategic plans. You will also be able to choose from a wide range of electives in finance, human resource management and management and leadership for example.

17486 Retail Management Certificate IV

The Certificate IV in Retail Management provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in the first line management skills of those working in the retail and/or wholesale industries. It is for people who are managing a small retail outlet, a section or department within a larger retail store, a small wholesale outlet, or a section or department within a larger wholesale business.
Learners have some choice about elective units in the qualification, which cover a range of areas for example management, inventory, merchandising and sales.

17485 Retail Certificate III

The Certificate III in Retail is designed for people who have some training and/or experience in the retail industry either in a paid or voluntary capacity.
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in retail operations and/or supervision with the need to apply discretion and judgement. Work would be undertaken in various retail store settings, such as specialty stores, supermarkets, department stores and retail fast food outlets. Individuals may have some responsibility for others and provide or hold specific coordination or support responsibilities within a store team.
Learners have choice about elective units in the qualification, which may be selected from a wide range of areas including administration, finance, merchandising, marketing, product knowledge or sales, for example.

17081 Training and Assessment Certificate IV

The TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment specifies the competencies required to deliver training in an industry area or area of subject matter expertise, and to conduct competency based assessment in a range of contexts.
It will enable participants to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to competently perform the role of an independent skilled trainer and facilitator and assessor in an AQTF environment in the Workplace and the VET sector generally.
Participants satisfying the evidence requirements will be able to:

  • create a meaningful learning environment
  • design learning processes and products
  • develop the skills and knowledge to manage the learning process
  • develop skills in assessment
  • provide learner support and consultancy services in training and/or assessment
  • coordinate trainers/assessors in their work and develop quality assurance systems
